New technical director at MeSys GmbH
Prof. Dr. Daniel Eggerath takes over the business’ operative management
Since the beginning of September, Prof. Dr. Daniel Eggerath is the new operative managing director of MeSys GmbH, based in Greifenberg. Together with Eva Knorr, he manages the company's operations, which specializes in the non-contact, non-radiometric measurement of flat web materials. After training as a mechanical engineer and studying aerospace engineering, his path led through a corporate project at the University of Erlangen into the field of coating technology. At FMP Technology GmbH, which was founded by Prof. Dr. Dr. Durst, Eggerath finally received his doctorate and came into initial contact with an ultrasonic sensor from MeSys GmbH. He has held the professorship for coating and drying at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich since 2014. After Eggerath returned to FMP Technologies GmbH as managing director and restructured the company, he handed over the management this year to take up his new position at MeSys GmbH. With his expertise and experience in management, he supports the traditional company, which has become one of the leading developers and manufacturers of non-radiometric system solutions for web measurement of weight, thickness and moisture since its foundation about 30 years ago.
