Full speed ahead: Hamilton present at events in Europe and USA

Company very satisfied with spring events

In spring Hamilton Bonaduz AG participated at several events in Europe and in the US. Especially congresses and trade fairs for bioprocess technology were in the focus. “Participating at such events is very important for us, because biotechnological processes are gaining more and more importance in the industry and the need for appropriate sensor solutions is increasing. The exchange of opinions and experiences with participants and other experts gives us highly valuable input, which will have positive effects on our products to meet the partially very specific requirements our customers”, explains Dr. Knut Georgy, Senior Market Segment Manager Process Analytics at Hamilton.
The prelude was the Interphex in New York City in March. At the leading trade fair for pharmaceutical and biotechnological devices, the experts informed about all industry-specific solutions. About one month later, the team had a booth at the BioProcess International European Summit in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The main focus there was on the sensors Dencytee and Incyte for measuring cell density. From 14th to 17th of May the congress „European Society for Animal Cell Technology“ (ESACT) took place in Lausanne, Switzerland. With over 900 participants, the congress is the ideal platform for Hamilton to network with customers, partners and interested parties. Due to the emphasis of the event, the focussed products were again the sensors Dencytee (total cell density) and Incyte (viable cell density). Sensor solutions for measuring the viable cell density using Hamilton products were shown by several customers on their posters. Zoetis from Spain, Boehringer Ingelheim from USA and the University of Barcelona have successfully implemented Incyte. In addition to that, the University of Barcelona presented the poster to the audience during a plenary session and was nominated for the ESACT Award. A wrap-up of the one day Dutch Biotechnology Conference showed that everything revolved around “online data, real time decisions”. The topic attracted many participants from industry and universities to visit the stand, where they could inform themselves about the benefits sensor solutions from Hamilton provide. The spring season events ended with Labvolution and Biotechnica in Hannover, Germany. The trade fair was attended by many visitors, especially interested in the Arc sensor technology, as well as in Denytee and Incyte. “We draw a positive conclusion of the events – we gained useful information and made valuable contacts”, concludes Dr. Georgy.
